The basic training of the Security Manager (11.2.2) is an official AVSEC (Aviation Security) training aimed at providing the essential knowledge to perform the functions of security manager in airport facilities or entities with access to restricted areas.

This course, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2015/1998 and supervised by the State Aviation Safety Agency (AESA), allows you to acquire a complete understanding of airport security management, the prevention of illegal acts and the application of control and supervision procedures for operational security.

In addition, it enables the student to assume direct responsibilities in the implementation, coordination and evaluation of AVSEC measures, guaranteeing regulatory compliance in all air operations.

Course objectives

The purpose of the course is to provide personnel responsible for security with the tools and knowledge necessary to effectively manage the protection of people, facilities and aeronautical operations.

At the end of the course, the student will be able to:

  • Understand the international and national regulatory bases on aviation safety (ICAO, EU and AESA).
  • Identify the functions and responsibilities of the AVSEC security manager.
  • Plan, coordinate and supervise security measures in restricted areas.
  • Apply control, inspection and incident response procedures.
