From 2022, <strong>it is mandatory to pass AVSAF (Aviation Safety) training to be able to circulate as a pedestrian or driver within the airport premises.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n<p>The AVSAF for pedestrians and drivers is not a simple theoretical course: it is a certification recognized by AESA (State Aviation Safety Agency) that certifies that personnel know the procedures, risks and standards that must be met at all times to guarantee safety.<br\/>In this guide we explain what AVSAF is, who should take it, what the syllabus includes, what the exam is like, training modalities and how to obtain the official AVSAF certificate.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What is AVSAF?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>The AVSAF<strong> <\/strong>program was created to standardize <strong>operational safety training in Spanish airports<\/strong>, under the supervision of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seguridadaerea.gob.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AESA<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<p>Its objective is:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Train and raise awareness of all personnel who access operational areas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduce risks of incidents caused by ignorance of standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Establish a single standard in airport security in Spain.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Who should take the AVSAF course?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>There are two main modalities:<\/p>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/segu-aero.com\/en\/product\/avsaf-peatones-avsaf-p\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AVSAF Pedestrian Course<\/a>: mandatory for anyone who accesses the operational area on foot.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/segu-aero.com\/en\/product\/avsaf-conductores-avsaf-c\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AVSAF Drivers Course:<\/a> mandatory for those who drive vehicles within the airport.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p>AVSAF training is mandatory for:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Workers who access the maneuvering area as pedestrians.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drivers of handling, supply, maintenance or services vehicles that circulate within the airport.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contract personnel, suppliers and external companies with authorized access.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Without the AVSAF certificate, it is not possible to process or renew the accreditation for access to the operational area.<\/p>\n\n<p>In addition, many professionals also need <a href=\"http:\/\/segu-aero.com\/en\/blog\/security\/avsec-en\/what-is-avsec\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AVSEC certification<\/a> to be able to carry out their work within airports.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>AVSAF course syllabus<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>AVSAF for pedestrians:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Module 1: Operational Safety<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Module 2: Airport configuration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Module 3: Working in an airport<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Module 4: Airport Procedures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>AVSAF for drivers:<\/strong> The same 4 AVSAF modules for pedestrians + Module 5: Airport circulation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Solve the most frequently asked questions about the AVSAF exam and certificate<\/h2>\n\n<p>The AVSAF pedestrian exam consists of between 20 and 30 multiple choice questions. On the other hand, the AVSAF exam for drivers generally has between 30 and 40 questions that include airport traffic regulations. <\/p>\n\n<p>In order to pass the exam and obtain the AVSAF certificate, it is necessary to obtain 75% correct answers.<\/p>\n\n<p>Once you pass, you will have the AVSAF certificate valid for 5 years.
